The pub The Red Lion where you start the walk, some parts of it date back to 1305 and the bar was constructed from a wooden screen taken from a church. You start the walk from the Red Lion which takes you to the attractive village of Alphamstone. You go past Daw's Hall which is surrounded by fine trees and it has a nature reserve.
