This is a good walk on a hilly part of Essex where there is log views over Roding valley and beyond to Stanford Rivers and Toot Hill. I must admit i did make a mistake once and took the wrong turning and having to turn round and come back but if i had not made this mistake we would not have gone past a field at the right time to see a herd of deer.A slight detour to see Navestock church is well worth doing.
