Pattiswick is not far from Braintree towards Coggeshall, as you might of noticed or might not the date we done the walk, yes Valentines day. We quite often go out for dinner with our friends Jackie and Steve on this date but as I was working that night we decided to take them on one of our walks and then have lunch afterwards in The Compasses. As we left the house it was starting to snow and we wondered if we should go or not but when we got there is was fine. We went wrong after getting to Bradwell the directions in the book said go down the side of garage where there was a footpath sign but the only thing was that they meant a petrol station any way it was worth going the way we did as we saw the back of this lovely house with a weir in the garden. The girls were a bit disappointed as there was no kissing gates on this walk. The meal in The Compasses was really good and made a great ending to a lovely day.
